Research fields: Sociology of organisations, of firms, of work and of innovation.

I am currently studying new forms of work organisation in "third places" and coordinating a research project PERI#WORK funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) for a three year period (2018-2021). It studies the work in collaborative workspaces outside metropolitan centers, in peripheral and remote areas, as well as in small towns, and their role in the context of a new system of moiblities (see

This project extends the work of a precedent project that I have coordinated between 2016 and 2018 on "Third places and new modes of innovation: the case of the entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized towns" (see et It has benefitted from financial support of the  Maison des Sciences de l'Homme en Bretagne (MSHB) from the GIS M@rsouin.

Previously, I had been studying the phenomenon of organisational failures and more specifically the social construction of failure by leading-edge start-up companies in emerging economic sectors. I had also worked on regional innovation systems. In the following, I oriented my research towards the topic of creativity and the study of social networks emerging around new cultural projects (new museums of modern and contemporary art).
