English version
I hold a First-class Honours degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, UK.I defended my doctoral thesis on George Eliot at the University of Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle. I hold the Agrégation d’anglais, and am currently Senior Lecturer in English literature at the University of Rennes 2, Brittany, having previously taught at both the Sorbonne-Nouvelle and the University of Paris-Ouest-Nanterre-La Défense.
I work on British women writers from George Eliot to Ali Smith. My current research interests include ecocriticism and ecofeminism, nomadic subjectivity, and new materialism especially as they relate to British women writers, with a focus on the porous boundary between the body and the environment. I maintain an abiding interest in Simone de Beauvoir and especially on the ways in which women writers are re-shaping ideas about subjectivity, creativity and belonging derived from Beauvoir's ground-breaking work.
